SiteCompass: Our Privacy Policy

SiteCompass maps out your visitor patterns and points you in the direction of greater profitability

We are committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and their site visitors. To that end, we have developed the infrastructure and systems to protect the information we gather. This privacy policy explains our approach in meeting that commitment.

Information We Collect

SiteCompass collects two types of information:

  1. Client information provided to us in signing up for our services

    SiteCompass collects information about clients and prospective clients including physical information and general information about their businesses. This information is kept private and will not be shared with third parties.


  2. Visitor information on our clients' sites

    SiteCompass collects information about visits to our clients' web sites. The data we collect in this manner is non-identifiable. This means that SiteCompass does not attempt to identify the individual person this data was collected from unless that individual provides specific contact information. We provide this data to our clients for anonymous user analysis, user profiling, and decision-making. They use this data to better understand what portions of their sites best serve visitors and how often visitors return. We collect and retain this information as a service to our clients and do not make it available to third parties.

HTTP Cookies

We use HTTP cookies to help in visit tracking. A cookie is a small file stored on your computer by your browser that can be used to connect accesses to a website. The data we store in the cookie is non-identifiable.

Email Contact

We provide an email service for our clients that allows them to receive information from their site visitors in a standard way. As part of that process visitors often enter contact information such as email address or phone number. We retain such information as reference that contact occurred and to supplement overall visit tracking. We provide the information to our clients for use in their business. We make no other use of this information.

Client Privacy Policy

We recommend that each of our clients maintain a privacy policy. As part of that policy we recommend that they agree to provide availabilty to any information they have about you as provided by us and that they provide customers an opt-in / opt-out option in regards to use of any information they have collected.
